Lesson 2 - Journey Deeper Into Presence
Learn the single insight that makes all things possible.
You're About To Discover...
- How to go even deeper into your Eternal Presence
- The highest Truth about you that you've been afraid to admit
- What's required to let go of everything holding you back
- A huge meditation trap that you're about to avoid so that you can stay free
- A place of power that will take your breath away
Meditation is an invitation to a life free of stress, anxiety, fear, worry, and lack. As you learned in the previous lesson, these are all "untruths," whereas meditation is a return to Truth, bliss, and an ecstatic life.
You can also view meditation as a journey. You can let go of a little bit of untruth, or you can let go of a LOT of untruth and completely transform your life. The more you let go, the more amazing life becomes. The only question is: how much are you willing to let go of?
In this lesson, you're going to realize the one insight you need to let go of everything and open the doors to a life full of miracles.
Remember, no matter what you want in life, the proper use of meditation can get you there.

Don't Fall Into This Trap!
As you dive into the world of meditation, you may hear phrases like this:
- "You are always and already free."
- "You are the Universe."
- "Love is all there is."
- "You are what you have been searching for."
- "Anything is possible."
And while all of these are beautiful phrases, don't confuse them with the Truth. They are merely pointers and descriptions.
Just like You, Truth is beyond description. It isn't something that can be put into words, and it isn't something that can be read in a book. Truth can only be experienced. So before you go any deeper into the experience of the Truth and Presence That You Are, it's essential that you understand one of the biggest meditation traps out there.
The Problem With Knowledge
If I tell you right now that "you are already free," you can either believe me or not. Most spiritual seekers believe deep down that they are infinite, powerful, and free. So you can believe the statement, you can like the statement, you can even argue for the statement, but if it's not your ongoing and moment-by-moment experience in life, did the statement do you any good?
If you feel stuck in life, if you feel trapped in a job that isn't your highest calling, if you feel like you don't have enough time to do the things you want to do, if you aren't pursuing your dreams, if your mind is a mess and you can't stop worrying, or if you don't wake up happy each and every day, then even if you have the knowledge that you're already free, it hasn't done you any good. It hasn't yet become a knowing.
What you refer to as "knowledge" is just words strung together in a certain way. One of the things you discover in meditation is that knowledge is absolutely useless. It doesn't change your life. The knowledge "you are already free" does nothing for you... unless and until it becomes your conscious experience. When you experience the state described by those words, then knowledge transforms into knowing. You go from intellectual knowledge, to experiential knowing.
When you have the knowing of being free, bliss returns. When you know you are free, you can't help but be happy. You can't help but be in love with all of life. You can't help but pursue your deepest dreams and your highest calling. You can't help but become the best version of you that you can be. When you know you're free, everything changes. (And if everything hasn't changed, then you don't yet know you're free.)
So reflect on what it means that you're not here to "learn" anything. You're not here for more knowledge, more words, or more pointers. You're here for the direct experience. You're here for the knowing that True Meditation will bring you.
The big trap that so many spiritual seekers fall into is in thinking they need to "learn" something. They're always learning, gathering more data, but never doing what's required to turn that knowledge into knowing. Most seekers have too much knowledge. They've accumulated so much knowledge that it actually gets in the way of true knowing. (More on this in Lesson 3.)
True Meditation is beyond knowledge. It's a breath-taking experience that can't be put into words. Words are of the mind, and True meditation is beyond that. The moment you think you know something, you've already lost True Meditation. This is a subtle awareness, and if it doesn't make sense yet, it will as you journey deeper into Presence.
As you go through the descriptions and pointers in the next section, it doesn't matter if you've heard the phrases before. Let the knowledge go, and open yourself up to the knowing.
Spend a few moments on each phrase, let go, and as Presence...
FEEL the Truth that the words are trying to convey.
Fingers Pointing At The Truth

Initiation: The Greatest Insight
Watch this video and learn the single insight that opens the doors to miracles.
Homework #3: Prove It To Yourself
One of your goals in this part of the course is to "prove it to yourself." Don't take my word for anything. Don't take anyone's word for anything. I can give you the words that describe "The Greatest Insight", but they're just words until you plunge into that place of consciousness for yourself where you know beyond the shadow of a doubt that I AM.
Spend at least 10 minutes letting go of everything but the feeling or awareness of I AM.
Notice that your body, your mind, your emotions, even the Universe Itself, are all temporary manifestations. They're changing / not Eternal / not Truth. But the one thing you can be absolutely sure of is... I AM. And from that great I AM, everything else springs into existence.
Homework #4: Deeper Into Presence
The I AM consciousness you've been initiated into will allow you to drop deeper into Presence. Know that you're not the "person," you're the Presence from which that person arises.
Throughout the day, take a few moments to "drop into presence." As you experience and explore the depths of presence in your meditation practice, you'll be able to simply drop into greater and greater states of freedom, joy, and presence in your daily life.
As you integrate presence into your life, you will automatically and effortlessly become confident, compassionate, creative, and free.
As a goal, drop into presence for a few moments at least once every hour throughout the day.
In the next lesson...
With the meditative tools you have now, it's time to start peeling back the layers of untruth that have been keeping you stuck in life. Drop the False Self and discover what it means to live as the Real You.
You'll also learn the other big meditation trap you have to be aware of if you want to see powerful, lasting results in your practice. The Two Circle Analogy will change the way you look at meditation forever.
