For thousands of years, people of all races, religions, castes, and creeds have used various forms of meditation in order to create happier and more meaningful lives.
For some, meditation was the means to quieting incessant thoughts and finally having peace of mind. For others, meditation was about connecting to God, the Universe, Intuition, or a Higher Self. Meditation can be used for letting go of things that no longer serve you, healing the body and mind, eliminating stress from your life, tapping into freedom, bliss, and abundance, or becoming a more confident, creative, compassionate version of you.
No matter what you want in life, the right kind of meditation can get you there.

There Are Only Two Kinds Of Meditation
If you've ever studied meditation, then you've probably observed that there are seemingly thousands of ways to meditate: quieting your thoughts, watching your breath, chanting mantras, staring at candle flames, visualizing objects, focusing on gratitude... the list goes on and on.
As such, beginning a meditation practice can seem like a daunting task. Which method do you use? Which one is best? Does it even matter?
Or maybe you've already chosen a practice and you're sticking with it. Someone recently confided in me, "I have been meditating for over a year, but I can't feel or notice any difference. Should I be experiencing any effects yet?"
My answer was YES! (Then I sent them the link to this course.) If you aren't noticing effects by the end of your first session, then you haven't yet understood the two kinds of meditation. And if after a month of meditation, you aren't a wildly happier, healthier, more liberated version of you, then again, you simply don't understand the two kinds of meditation.
True Meditation
Most people think of meditation as something you "do." You sit down, you watch your breath, you chant a mantra, etc. But none of these are True Meditation because True Meditation isn't something you do, it's something you are. For an adult, you could say that True Meditation is something that happens to you. It's a Return to Bliss. It's you letting go of everything you are not and plunging back into your true state of being, an ongoing experience of freedom, love, perfection, wholeness, completion, and joy.
True Meditation happens to you when you consciously return to your Natural State.
Have you ever noticed that as people grow up, the older they get (up to a point), the more they need meditation? Adults need meditation more than teens. Teens need meditation more than children. Some children may need meditation in small doses. But infants don't need meditation at all.
That's because infants are in their Natural State. Everything you want from meditation, you already had in your Natural State. There are no stressed out babies. There are no infant therapy groups. When you came into this world, you were essentially an Enlightened Being. You existed in a perfect state of love, trust, abundance, oneness, freedom, and bliss.
But from the moment you were born, people started indoctrinating you into their view of the world. You had to learn to feel stress, anger, worry, fear, and lack. You had to learn that life was hard, or that money was a struggle, or that healing took a long time. You even had to learn to be separate from everyone else. You had to learn identification with the body.
But the more you "learned," the further you got from your Natural State of bliss.
So True Meditation happens when an adult un-learns all the untruths they picked up in life and regains their Natural State of freedom, joy, and bliss. THAT is Who You Truly Are, and Being That is what True Meditation is. Everything else, all the "doing meditations" are either about creating the conditions for True Meditation to happen, or they're about preparing you to create those conditions.
For example, in this first lesson, there's a video further down that will initiate you into True Meditation. I'll teach you a direct practice to immediately drop back into the freedom, joy, and bliss that you already are and always have been. When you access this ever-present dimension of Self, it will transform you from person to presence. Everything you want from meditation will automatically and effortlessly come to you as you return to your Natural State.
But as simple as the direct practice is, everyone is unique. Some people need to prepare themselves for letting go. Some people need to take it slowly. So some forms of meditation are designed to prepare you for the direct practices that lead to True Meditation. If you have trouble focusing on the subtle dimension of Self, a good teacher might have you focus on the breath for a few weeks. Once you've mastered that, then you'll be ready for the direct practices. Focusing on the breath was never meant to be confused with meditation, it was a specific practice given to a specific person in order to help them better perform a direct practice.
The direct practices that lead to True Meditation are the ones that give the transformative results that you're after. All of the other forms of meditation, the preparatory ones, are designed to be used for a short period of time and then be dropped.
Of all the countless ways to meditate you may have heard of, there are really only two:
- The direct practices that lead to True Meditation.
- The assorted practices that prepare you for the direct practices.
Every practice you've heard of fits into one of these two categories. Unfortunately, most people are only ever introduced to Type 2 practices. While there's nothing wrong with Type 2 practices, more often than not, they're not necessary. If you've been meditating for months or years without seeing life-changing results, you've been using Type 2 practices for too long and are ready for Type 1. And even if you're brand new to meditation, being initiated into True Meditation and learning Type 1 practices is the best way to start.
NOTE: What we've covered so far may be a lot to wrap your head around, and if that's the case, don't worry. Re-read this first part again after you've gone through the Initiation video below. You'll have a much better understanding of everything we've discussed. Then, in the following lessons, I'll take you even deeper and all of meditation will become crystal clear. You'll learn why some people meditate for decades without getting anywhere, and how you can start using the direct practices today to immediately transform your life.
An Initiation Into True Meditation
Watch this video, experience the Initiation, and understand everything you've ever wanted to know about meditation.
(0:44) The realization that you are already free
(1:47) What's keeping you from experiencing freedom and your Highest Self
(2:32) The essence of the "practice" of meditation
(3:09) What you can get out of meditation
(4:07) Initiation into True Meditation
(14:01) How to become blissful
(15:55) Your access to freedom throughout the day
Homework #1: Infinite Presence Meditation
Before Lesson 2, spend at least a few minutes guiding yourself into the state of Infinite Presence you learned in the Initiation video.
While relaxing and letting go, become aware of your body, mind, and emotions. Observe the "person" that you are in life. Once you realize that the "person" isn't you, transition into "presence" by observing the observer.
Allow yourself to be free.
Note: if you have trouble observing the observer right now, that's okay. You'll learn a powerful practice in Lesson 2 that will make that place of consciousness more accessible.
Homework #2: Dropping Into Presence
Recall that babies don't need to meditate. They are already presence, freedom, and bliss. The goal of meditation is for you to return to that natural state of bliss that you already are.
Throughout the day, take a few moments to "drop into presence." As you experience and explore the depths of presence in your meditation practice, you'll be able to simply drop into greater and greater states of freedom, joy, and presence in your daily life.
As you integrate presence into your life, you will automatically and effortlessly become confident, compassionate, creative, and free.
As a goal, drop into presence for a few moments at least once every hour throughout the day.
